Australia’s Scott Hend captured his maiden PGA TOUR Champions title with a composed final-round 69 to win the 50th edition of the Trophée Hassan II in Morocco by one stroke at 15-under-par.
Here’s the prize money breakdown for each golfer at the 2026 Trophée Hassan II
Hend, 52, closed with rounds of 66-69-69 to secure victory in just his 12th career start on PGA TOUR Champions and earn fully exempt status on Tour through the 2027 season.
The Australian began the final round two shots behind but seized control with a pivotal swing on the par-3 ninth hole, where he made birdie while overnight leader Tommy Gainey carded a double bogey.
The win marks Hend’s first PGA TOUR Champions title, surpassing his previous best finish of runner-up at the 2026 Regions Tradition. He also moves from No. 14 to No. 5 in the Charles Schwab Cup standings.
Hend becomes the fourth consecutive international winner of the Trophée Hassan II during its PGA TOUR Champions era and the first Australian to lift the title in the tournament’s 50-year history. A former DP World Tour and Staysure Legends Tour winner, Hend earned his place in the field after topping the 2025 Legends Tour Order of Merit.
Two-time Charles Schwab Cup champion Steven Alker finished tied for second after matching the low round of the day with a closing 68, alongside Gainey, who recorded his fourth top-10 finish of the season despite surrendering the lead on the back nine.
World Golf Hall of Fame member Ernie Els rebounded from an opening-round 74 with rounds of 68 and 69 to finish tied for fourth.
