A common fault for amateur golfers of all levels is to ‘early extend’ on the downswing – meaning a premature loss of the body angles established at address and on the backswing.

Usually this means the spine straightens too early and the pelvis moves towards the ball. This produces a variety of common shot faults and limits the player’s ability to produce rotational power.
