On Saturday night, McGavin McDonald was arrested for drunk driving in the Lake Arrowhead area of Los Angeles, according to a report from TMZ, who obtained his all-time mugshot.

The 62-year-old actor reportedly lost control of his Porsche and crashed into a gas meter at around 9 p.m. local time. Before cops took him into custody, an eyewitness says McDonald told them he appeared in “Happy Gilmore.”

Believe it or not, L.A.’s finest were not amused, and took McDonald to a local jail to sober up before he can be released without bail. Had he won the Tour Championship, something tells us things would have gone a little differently.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time McDonald has been arrested for drunk driving. In 2013, TMZ reported he was nabbed for driving while intoxicated. Here’s hoping Shooter learns his lesson this time and doesn’t really hurt himself.

“Smooth iron shots,” is all he said about it. It’s difficult to tell which lofted club he was using or how aggressively he was going at the ball, but it does seems he’s advanced from hitting just 60-yard shots to which he alluded on his website two weeks ago.

Woods has not played a competitive round since shooting a first-round 77 in the Dubai Desert Classic in January. He withdrew from the tournament the following day and underwent more back surgery in April.

“I’m starting to hit the ball a little further—60-yard shots. I have not taken a full swing since my back fusion surgery last April, but continue to chip and putt every day,” Woods wrote on his blog. “The latter is paying off. Justin Thomas and Rickie Fowler have been dropping by my house for putting contests. Justin also comes over to practice his chipping. It was fun to celebrate his PGA Championship win with him and Rickie, and we had a blast.”

Woods says a crucial test will be an upcoming X-ray taken on his back to see his progress six months after his surgery.

“Once my surgeon takes a look, he’ll give me the parameters of what I can do moving forward,” Woods says.

The 14-time major champion, who will be an assistant captain to buddy Steve Stricker at next week’s Presidents Cup, did say he has begun a more aggressive workout regimen that includes running on a treadmill, biking, swimming and lifting weights twice a day. Most importantly, he says he’s pain free and been sleeping better as a result, although he’s still not in a position to consider a timetable for a return to the PGA Tour.

“Playing wise, I’m not looking ahead yet because I don’t know what kind of swing I’m going to use. I just don’t know what my body is going to allow me to do,” Woods said. “Until I do, I’m going to listen to my doctors and continue to take it slowly.”

Woods pleaded not guilty last month to driving under the influence over Memorial Day weekend, but is expected to enter a program for first-time offenders.

Curiously, Woods in his post made sure to thank his sponsors, who he says have remained steadfast in their support throughout his troubles. Earlier this week, reports surfaced that Woods’ D.C.-area PGA Tour event, which benefits the Tiger Woods Foundation, is in jeopardy because it does not have a title sponsor.

Tiger Woods has made headlines for a variety of things not related to golf the past few months, but that will change next month, says friend Steve Stricker. On Thursday, the Presidents Cup captain told Golf Channel that the 14-time major champ will be at Liberty National for the biennial event as an assistant captain. And even though that still leaves golf fans with no idea of when Woods will actually play again, Stricker sees this as a positive start to his latest comeback.

“It will be good to have him there. Guys are looking forward to it and I know he’s looking forward to it as well,” Stricker told Golf Channel after shooting an opening 74 at the Northern Trust. “He wants to get back in the mix, and I know he’s itching to get back out here, and this will be a first step for him.”

Woods, 41, was named an assistant captains in October, but a fourth back surgery in April, a DUI arrest in May, and a subsequent trip to an out-of-state intensive care program to help him deal with medications put his appearance in doubt. According to Stricker, however, Woods now feels like being a part of the event.

Woods was one of Davis Love III’s vice captains during last year’s Ryder Cup at Hazeltine, where he seemed to really get into the role. That was backed up by Stricker saying in January that Woods was already calling him with ideas for the Presidents Cup. How that excitement translates to Woods’ return as a player remains to be seen, but in the meantime, at least we’re talking about Tiger in terms of golf.
