Dubai Hills professional Paul Shields produced a superb performance to capture the latest Emirates PGA event at The Els Club Dubai, carding an impressive four under par 68 to secure victory by a single stroke.
Competing on the Ernie Els-designed layout, the Scotsman handled the testing conditions well and produced one of the standout rounds of the day to edge a tightly packed leaderboard.
Shields made his decisive move on the back nine. After a steady start, he moved into contention with a run of four consecutive birdies.

Jackson Bell of the Tommy Fleetwood Academy Dubai finished just one shot behind in second place, while Zane Scotland of 5i Golf Dubai secured third, a further two strokes back.
The victory marks Shields’ second win on the Emirates PGA circuit and continues an encouraging spell since relocating to the UAE. The Scotsman joined Dubai Hills Golf Club as a teaching professional in September 2025.
The Emirates PGA season continues next with the Track Meydan on Tuesday, 24 March.
