Xerox Emirates General Manager Chris Govier is flanked by champions Ashok Sindhu (left) and Suresh Shewakramani who won the Creek qualifier with a eight under par net round of 63.

The Team ‘Golf Tigers’ duo started with back-to-back birdies and went on to savour one of those rounds where nearly everything dropped.

It included a net birdie on the 8th from Shewakramani when the Emirates GC 21-handicapper got up and down from the right hand trap on the par 3 – with his putter out of the sand!

“We had a lot of fun and we were very lucky. I think the golfing gods where with us today,” said Sindhu afterwards.

“There are not many tournaments in Dubai where you actually go to the final with a gross prize so its very nice,” Galeppini said. “We are really looking forward to it because every year we have qualified we’ve had a lot of problems for the net.”
