Collin Morikawa poses with the Wanamaker Trophy during the 2021 PGA Championship media day in April.

There’s some mystery in the air this week at the PGA Championship. The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island hosts the major for a second time, nine years removed from when Rory McIlroy appeared to be playing a different layout than the rest of the field en route to an eight-shot romp. Yet it’s unclear what kind of course the 156 competitors will be facing this time around, the May date for this year’s event likely presenting much firmer and windier conditions than in August 2012.
Meanwhile, the spectre of COVID-19 lingers, although not the way it did a year ago when the PGA at TPC Harding Park was the first men’s major held after the summer restart. There will be limited spectators—10,000 a day onsite—allowing players, at least in part, to play off the crowd energy once more, something that has been a welcome condition this spring as tournaments have slowly opened up events.
Below are the tee times for the 156 players in the field for the championship. The last spot went to K.H. Lee after he claimed victory on Sunday at the AT&T Byron Nelson, his first career PGA Tour win. The 29-year-old South Korean was third on the alternate list before his victory at TPC Craig Ranch.
