Following a short break, the Ladies European Tour (LET) returned to South Africa for the 2026 Joburg Ladies Open.
The tournament marked the seventh stop on the season’s global schedule and the first of two events in the Rainbow Nation co-sanctioned with the Sunshine Ladies Tour (SLT).
Randpark Golf Club took on hosting duties for the first time after a four-year stretch at Modderfontein Golf Club. The tree-lined, par-73 Firethorn course proved a fitting venue, steeped in history having previously held several Joburg Opens on the DP World Tour.
The 2026 Joburg Ladies Open was the 12th edition of the event and the fifth to feature on the LET schedule. Past champions included England’s Mimi Rhodes (2025), Switzerland’s Chiara Tamburlini (2024) and Sweden’s Linn Grant (2022) – all three players have since joined the LPGA and were vying for a place at this year’s Solheim Cup.
The 72-hole tournament got underway on Thursday 16 April, with the winner crowned on Sunday 19 April. A purse of €330,000 was on offer at Randpark Golf Club.
Agathe Laisne made it two wins in two months with a dramatic victory at the Joburg Ladies Open, as the Frenchwoman came out on top after a five-hole play-off.
